He founded Goldenvoice with partner Rick Van Santen in 1981, and promoted shows at various venues throughout Los Angeles including the Palladium, the Wiltern Theatre, and the Hollywood Bowl.
In 1999, Tollett founded the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival which has become one of the most popular music festivals in the world.
