Kaelin Poulin was born in San Diego, California on May 23rd, 1990. She grew up with two older brothers who were both avid snowboarders. From a young age, she was fascinated by their passion for the sport and decided to give it a try. At the age of seven, she began snowboarding and quickly developed a love for the sport. She began competing in local competitions at the age of 10, and by 15 she had won her first national title.
Poulin’s success continued to grow throughout her teenage years as she competed in various competitions across the United States and Europe. In 2010, she won the halfpipe gold medal at the U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships and placed second at the Burton European Open that same year. In 2012, she won bronze at the Winter X Games and silver at the Burton US Open Slopestyle competition in 2013.
