He quickly developed a passion for the sport and began competing when he was just 10 years old. By the time he was 15 he had already become one of the top amateur skaters in Florida and started to gain recognition from sponsors such as Baker Skateboards and Nike SB.
In 2013, Jamie became a professional skateboarder and went on to compete in several events including X Games Austin 2014, X Games Minneapolis 2017, and Street League Skateboarding 2018. He won gold medals at X Games Minneapolis 2017 and X Games Shanghai 2018 and also won the Street League Skateboarding Super Crown World Championship in 2018.
